DIVA X BLACK THOUGHT

This past tuesday our good friend Amanda Diva had a show at Highline.  Although we couldn’t make it we were lucky enough to see this video with Black Thought. Check it out!

Sky View

In Colombia, there was a cable car that we took some great shots in. The car went over the hill and you can see the rundown houses, and overlook the mountains. It was around 6pm and the sky was looking real good. yes okay. i did enhance it a bit but was a still a great view.

Barnstormers Show

The other day I had a chance to pass by the Barnstormers show. There was a ton of great work there but favorites had to be the Jose Parla and the Doze Green. Hats off to them as always. Although I enjoyed the whole show,  the biggest highlight of the show was choppin it up with Bluster. He is a cool dude and I was really happy to see his sketchbook on display. My sketchbooks are always incomplete with a few random quotes and some sketches of jobs, which reminded me of his. I dont judge art by how clean the lines are or how realistic it looks, i just lean towards what speaks to me. While we were in SF the sun was bright and beaming, We hopped into a bar real quick to get my johnny black on. it was a nice bar and the sun was gleaming through the windowns. Im learning the fundamentals of photography, and the one thing everyone always says is… LIGHTING! This is a perfect example. the dog picture might be one of my favorite pictures that i have taken so far. Please let me know what you think!

2010 Whitney Biennial

This week the Whitney Museum of Art on the Upper East Side of NY debuted its 75th edition of its annual defining exhibition known as the Biennial 2010. There is works by 55 artists spanning four floors on the museums “Breuer Building,” while the entire third floor is dedicated to video installations. The fifth floor is devoted to artists in Whitney’s permanent collections. Gotta go check this out.

Big L. RIP

Mr. Brainwash

I had a chance to check out the Mr. Brainwash exhibit yesterday. I must say it was great. I loved the amount of work in 15,000 square foot location. the work was great…you got to see the huge boombox, i heard it took him over 6 months to create. anhyways i go to allot of shows (well i try) i dont always get wowed like i want to, but this show is truely dope!
